I see you! or maybe not.

Now You See Me 3 was…

An exercise in disappointment. While the first two entries of the saga were not perfect, they had a good rhythm and were able to have both serious moments and fun, awe-inducing moments, following the heist movie script with an extra flare and “magic”. For the third entry, they thought they’d just reheat the soup and serve it half-cold. The rhythm was gone. The fun and serious moments were garbled together with completely out of tune scenes as a result. It was terrible, and lazy. That’s unfortunate, but it is what it is.
